This image above is from NOAA via The Washington Post. It shows the eye of typhoon Yutu. Yutu made landfall in the U.S. territory of the Northern Mariana Islands. The storm caused catastrophic damage. According to a report from The Weather Channel, 1 person has died and over 100 is injured. Yutu made landfall this last Thursday and it is the strongest storm to hit a U.S. territory in decades. Winds in the storm was reported to have reached 180 mph. VOX reported “The Washington Post reports more than 100 FEMA personal are in the region to help with the aftermath.”
