The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) in Norman, OK has placed part of the area under a marginal risk for severe weather. The marginal risk runs along and south of I-70. If you are in the marginal risk for severe you should expect showers and storms with a few storms on the borderline of turning severe.
Before the main event even arrives, we will have scattered showers in the area. Then around 9 p.m., we will see showers and storms associated with a cold front move into the area from the west. Showers and storms will continue past midnight until about 7 or 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. Lingering showers will still be possible once the main line of showers and storms past.
At this time heavy rain and strong winds look to be our biggest threats. Everything else at the moment is at very low. I will say though we will have to keep a close eye on flooding.
