I know, we are just getting rid of the rain, but. Unfortunately more rain will return this Thursday. With that rain will come snow. As we progress through the day on Thursday, we will have warm air move into the area. Temperatures will top off in the 40s. Then temperatures will begin to fall into the 30s. As it does we will begin to see a rain will change to a wintry mix and then probably just snow.
Talking about the chance of rain once again. I should address rain accumulations. Again, as I have said in the past. This is the GFS model, so it could be over doing it just a little. Rain totals here in the area when this system moves through the area could get up to an inch and higher in some locations.
Well, talking about the chance of snow. I should also talk about our snow accumulations. Right now, the numerical model isn’t predicting a big snow event here in the area. However, it does show some snow accumulating here in the area, less than an inch for now. With the ground being a little warmer due to the not so cold weather. When the snow starts falling, it may take some time for the snow to start sticking as well.
I hope you are enjoying the content! I’m still in high school so content is uploaded and updated whenever I get the chance.
