There is a threat for severe weather Thursday, May 9, 2019

The SPC has already highlighted our area for the possibility of severe weather next week. A low-pressure system will bring rain into the area this coming Thursday. The GFS is also showing some CAPE (Convective Available Potential Energy) in the atmosphere. We could see a few thunderstorms develop as a result of the low-pressure system and the CAPE.
