The National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH has issued a flood advisory. This flood advisory has been issued for Wayne County in Indiana.

The NWS in Wilmington, OH says “The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…

Wayne County in east central Indiana…

Northern Fayette County in east central Indiana…

* Until 530 PM EDT.

* At 228 PM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain

moving over the advisory area. Radar has estimated that up to an

inch of rain has already fallen in parts of the advisory area,

with another 1 to 1.5 inches possible in the next several hours.

* Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways

and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks,

streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Richmond, Connersville, Centerville, Cambridge City, Hagerstown,

Fountain City, Dublin, Waterloo, Abington, Greens Fork, East

Germantown, Spring Grove, Boston, Mount Auburn, Whitewater, Richmond

Municipal Airport, Mettel Field, Middleboro, Jacksonburg and

Interstate 70 at Exit 145.


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the

dangers of flooding.
