Dorian is forecast to become a major hurricane by Saturday. A major hurricane is a hurricane starting at a CAT 3 and up. The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is forecasting for Dorian to become a CAT 3 hurricane before making landfall on the east coast of Florida.

The forecast cone drawn by the NHC (National Hurricane Center) is representative of where the eye of the storm could go. That means even those outside the forecast cone could feel impacts from Dorian.
