I have to say it has been pretty dry this September and it has been hot. Above is a look at the drought monitor for Ohio. Most of the Miami Valley is seeing a moderate drought. This could be impacting agriculture in some places. The NWS in Wilmington, OH is reporting that the Dayton International Airport has only picked up 0.15 inches of rain. Not counting today’s rain. That is reportedly down just about 3 inches from the average rainfall we see in the area this month.
Here is a look at the “KDAY 31 Day Period” provided by the NWS. According to the NWS in Wilmington, we have only seen 7 days of measurable precipitation this month, not including today. There is a chance of rain tomorrow but it’s not a lot.
