Subtropical storm Melissa forms off the east coast of the U.S.

Earlier today subtropical storm Melissa formed in the Atlantic. The NHC says the storm currently has winds sustained around 65 mph. The NHC is forecasting for the storm to move away from the coast and out into the Atlantic. Some portions of the New England area may feel tropical-storm-force winds today. As the storm moves into the Atlantic the storm is expected to weaken.
