There is a marginal risk for severe weather tonight

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has placed most of the Miami Valley under a marginal risk (1/5) for severe weather. This means if we get any thunderstorms, they could be a little on the stronger side.

Right now, I believe the NAM 3K model is handling the rain the best. Showers and storms are already moving through the area. Precip will continue to move through the area as we head into the evening and overnight hours tapering off around 3 and 4 AM.

Here is a look at our severe weather threats for tonight. Everything is very low, however, hail is low but even then it’s not major a threat but it’s our main threat for tonight. Even though wind is low tonight, you could get a good gust of wind tonight.
