Dam failures in Michigan prompts evacuations

Officials in Michigan are telling people near Wixom and Sanford lakes to evacuate as dams are beginning to fail in the area. The Detroit News is reporting people are being told not to call 911 unless they are not able to evacuate. Multiple dams are either already failing or on the brink of failing. The governor is planning on issuing a state of emergency.
