Showers and possible storms will move into the are between 1 and 2 PM this afternoon. Some rain could be steady to heavy at times. Temperatures will be in the mid-50s and this warmer air could add a little instability to the atmosphere. The threat of severe weather is low but can not be ruled out. Rain will last into the overnight hours and into Sunday morning.

Strong winds are also expected as we head through the day. Winds will be light at first but winds will gradually pick up throughout the day. As we approach the evening hours today, winds could gust up to near 50 mph. Winds will begin to calm down as we head past midnight. Prepare for the possibility that you could lose power tonight. I will expalin that more in detail in another post.

Future Total Precipitation

By tomorrow morning, we could pick up 1 to 2 inches of rain. This could affect one of our area rivers. I will explain that more in detail in another post as well.
