The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has placed the Miami Valley in a marginal risk (1/5) for severe weather today. This means a few storms could be a little strong at times today.
As we head into the afternoon a few showers and storms will begin to pop up. Again, a few storms could be a little strong at times. We will have moisture and some energy in the atmosphere to get storms going. The heating of the day will also help with getting some storms going. The best chance of showers and storms will be from late morning through the late afternoon.
Here is a look at our severe weather hazards today. Every thing is very low besides the chance of a some isolated damaging winds today.
There is a marginal risk for severe weather on Saturday as well.
