Snow continues to move to the southeast at this hour. Many areas have picked up at least a dusting of snow. Now that the temperatures are dropping as well, we will have to deal with some possible slick spots tonight.

So expect light snow tonight. It will be cold with a low of 25 and it could be a bit breezy out tonight too. I will go into detail here in a second.

So, the snow you saw on radar above will move out of the area around midnight or 1 a.m. More snow will move into the northern part of the area as this current batch of snow moves out. The snow that moves into the northern part of the area will be lake effect snow. Those lake effect snow bands could move south of I-70 by late Tuesday morning.

As mentioned earlier, many areas have already picked up at least a dusting of snow. By the time the snow ends. Our snow accumulations will range from a dusting to around 0.09″ of snow.

As talked about earlier, we will see a low around 25 tonight. With Temperatures falling into the mid to upper 20s. Any untreated roads could end up with some slick spots tonight. So be careful as you drive through the overnight into tomorrow morning. As we head through tomorrow morning. Temperatures will begin to rise. By the afternoon temperatures will only have risen into the upper 20s to the lower 30s.

Finally, earlier in this forecast post, I mentioned that we could deal with some breezy conditions. Now we won’t deal the winds we dealt with this morning. Some areas saw wind gusts ranging from 20 mph all the way near 40 mph. I will say that a wind gust around 20 mph is possible tonight but again no 40 mph wind gusts expected.
