Hopefully you didn't put the heavy coat too far in the back of the closet.

6 to 10 Day Temp Outlook Courtesy of NOAA/NWS/CPC

The Climate Prediction Center is still forecasting for us to be way below normal over the next 6 to 10 days. When I say way below, I mean 90% below. This kind of weather is expected though, especially as we head closer to the start of spring. The good news is, it’s 21 days until Spring as of today, Wednesday! So hopefully the warmer weather arrives sooner than later.

Here is a look at the GFS model and it shows the very cold air moving in. The cold air will move in from Canada of course. To help you out, the colder air above is in the pinkish, purple going into the white. Hopefully, that helps you to better understand the map. You can also look at the legend at the top of the map. The coldest of the air will arrive by next week.

Here is a more detailed map with numbers.

On from the maps, as we head into next week, temperatures will begin to fall in the single digits for lows. For highs, temperatures will be in the teens to the 20s. These temperatures will last until about the end of the week.
