Steady to heavy rain expected Thursday into Friday

Last Updated on 1 year by Devontae Jackson

Rain is currently moving into the area and some rain has been steady at times. Rain will continue through the overnight hours before tapering off just a little around 7 AM. I do believe this model is a little behind as well. Rain will move back into the area in the afternoon. Some of that rain could also be steady. The steady rain will continue into Thursday evening and into Friday. Rain should taper off Friday afternoon.

As we head into the afternoon on Thursday. Some rumbles of thunder can’t be ruled out, especially south of I-70. Convective Available Potential Energy (CAPE) values will be approaching 1000 to 2000 J/Kg.
