This afternoon half of North Carolina is covered by flash flood warnings. Major flooding is occurring across the state as heavy rains continue to move through that area. At last check there has been over 140 water rescues. WBTV reports three people dead, many are missing, and many were rescued from a camping area in North Carolina.
As a reporter was live on tv this morning the bridge her and her crew was standing on fell into the flood waters.
WSOC-TV is reporting many roads have been closed due to flooding and there are power outages. WSOC-TV also reports CFD had to rescue 143 people from a charter school because of the floods.

A cold front has brought rain to the east coast and tropical storm Eta is also providing rain and moisture to keep producing rain as it ride along the east coast this afternoon. Rain should end in the Carolinas by late Friday morning into Friday afternoon from west to east.
