We saw some rain this morning that has since moved to our east. We will stay dry for the rest of today but more rain will move into the area tomorrow. Some rain could be steady to heavy at times, especially south of I-70.
Timing out the rain, rain will move into the area tomorrow morning and continue through Sunday afternoon. Lingering showers are possible Sunday night into early Monday morning before tapering off. Also, don’t be surprised if you hear a small rumble of thunder.
Looking at precipitation accumulations, 1 to 2 inches of rain is possible down in Butler, Warren, and Clinton counties. As you head towards the Dayton area and areas north, up to and around 1 inch of rain is possible.
Now, with snowmelt, rivers and creeks in the area are already running a little high. Add on rain and not just rain but some steady to heavy rain and you have a flooding/flash flooding threat. The WPC has the southern part of the Miami Valley in a marginal risk to possibly see flash flooding. See flash flooding safety tips here. This forecast could change.
