Cloudy to overcast skies for most of the day. Temps will get into the lower 30s by the afternoon. However, as we head into the evening, temps and snow will begin to fall.
Looking ahead, snow will continue into Sunday. Some snow could be steady at times. Warmer air will move into the area as we head through the day on Sunday. That will cause a rain/snow line to form and move towards the I-70 corridor. Those north of I-70 will see mainly snow and those south of I-70 will see mainly rain as we head into Sunday afternoon. By Sunday evening cooler temps will move back into the area. That will change rain back to snow as we head into Monday morning. There is a separate post discussing all this and winter weather alerts are in effect. Read more on the homepage. Snow will linger into Monday before snow tapers off Monday afternoon into the evening. We are dry Tuesday and Wednesday before rain moves into the area Thursday. A few snowflakes could mix in on Thursday. Friday, another winter weather system could move into the area. Highs will be in the low to mid-30s on Sunday. Highs could reach the 30s on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, the 40s on Thursday, and back into the 30s on Friday. Lows will be in the 20s for the next week or so.
