Here is a look at tropical storm Iota this evening as the sun sets on this Friday. Iota became a tropical storm earlier today.

As of the 4 PM EST advisory Iota is moving WSW at 3 mph with sustained winds of 40 mph. The storm is expected to gain strength as it head west across the Caribbean. The storm could make landfall in Nicaragua or Honduras as a major hurricane. This after that same area was hit by Eta just this past week.
