Concerning Randolph County in Indiana, the NWS in Indianapolis, IN says, β€œ314 PM EST Mon Dec 31 2018 …The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Flood Warning for portions of the following waterway in eastern Indiana… Mississinewa River… .Lowland flooding is expected to develop along the Mississinewa River over the next several hours. Significant flooding is not expected. Up to an inch and a quarter of rain has already fallen across the area. Additional rainfall will continue into the early evening hours, potentially bringing another half an inch to an inch of rain to the area. Flooding would affect numerous local and state river roads, low agricultural land and some river parks. Precautionary/Preparedness Actions… Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river conditions.
