Dense Fog Advisory – Valid Until 3 AM 1-18-19

The National Weather Service has allowed this alert to expire.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH has issued a dense fog advisory. This dense fog advisory has been issued for Auglaize, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby, and Warren counties in Ohio.

The NWS in Wilmington, OH says “610 PM EST Thu Jan 17 2019 …DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM EST FRIDAY… The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 3 AM EST Friday. * VISIBILITIES…One quarter mile or less at times. * TIMING…This evening into the early morning hours on Friday. * IMPACTS…Visibilities will be a quarter of a mile or less at times. These poor visibilities will result in hazardous travel conditions. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Motorists should use extra caution. Slow down, use low-beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you as objects on and near roadways will be seen only at close range due to low visibilities. && $$”
