Flood watch continues for areas I-70 and South

Flood Watch Through 1 AM Tomorrow (2-11-19)

The National Weather Service has allowed this alert to expire.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH has issued a flood watch for Butler, Clark, Clinton, Greene, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren counties in Ohio. Also for Union and Wayne counties in Indiana.

The NWS in Wilmington, OH says “…FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH
TUESDAY AFTERNOON…
The Flood Watch continues for

Portions of Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio, including the
following areas, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette IN, Franklin
IN, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union IN, and Wayne. In
Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant,
Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton, and Robertson. In Ohio,
Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Fairfield, Fayette
OH, Greene, Hamilton, Highland, Hocking, Montgomery, Pickaway,
Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, and Warren.

From Monday morning through Tuesday afternoon

A stalled frontal boundary will result in a prolonged period
of precipitation with 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rainfall expected.

With saturated ground, rivers and streams still in flood or
running high, this additional rainfall will likely lead to
flooding.”
