“612 PM EDT Wed Jul 8 2020 The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a * Flood Advisory for… Central Mercer County in west central Ohio… * Until 745 PM EDT. * At 611 PM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain stationary over Mercer County including the city of Celina. 1.50 inches of rain was measured in 30 minutes by a rain gauge on the west side of Celina. * Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks, streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding. Some locations that will experience minor flooding include… Celina, Coldwater, St. Henry, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Neptune, Carthagena, Tama and Maria Stein. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
