The National Weather Service has allowed this alert to expire.

The NWS in Indianapolis, IN says, “Flood Statement

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana…

Sugar Creek near Edinburgh.

Youngs Creek at Amity.

Wildcat Creek near Jerome.

Mississinewa River near Ridgeville.

.Flooding continues along some smaller waterways in central Indiana.
This flooding is a result of around 2 inches of rain that fell
Wednesday night and Thursday. Flooding should come to an end at all
of these sites between this afternoon and early Saturday morning.


Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement should be issued late this afternoon or early
this evening.

…The Flood Warning is now in effect until late this evening…

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississinewa River near Ridgeville.

  • Until this evening.
  • At 9:00 AM EDT Friday the stage was 12.3 feet.
  • Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  • Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
  • Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
    at 9:00 AM EDT Friday was 13.1 feet.
  • Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
    this afternoon and continue falling to 5.3 feet late tomorrow
  • Impact…At 13.0 feet, Significant flooding of Mississinewa River
    in northern Randolph County. Water is likely on SR 1 just south
    of SR 28. West CR 825 N east of SR 1 and West River Road west of
    SR 1 and possibly other county roads are flooded. Little League
    field in Ridgeville is flooded. Noticeable agricultural flooding
    in progress.
