Tropical cyclone Marian is roaring through the South Indian Ocean

Above is a look at tropical cyclone Marian from Japan’s Himawari satellite. The storm has sustained winds of 100 knots with gusts up to 125 knots. Making this a severe tropical cyclone and equivalent to a cat 3 storm. The Joint Typhoon Warning Center is forecasting for this storm to weaken over time. No landfall is expected with this storm.
