Magnitude 8.1 earthquake struck off the coast of New Zealand, tsunami warning lifted

Another strong earthquake has struck off the coast of New Zealand. This makes the third earthquake to occur. The first one occurring earlier Thursday at a magnitude 7.3, another one sometime later at a magnitude of 7.4, and this one at 8.1. The 8.1 was about 12 miles underground. Many of the aftershocks were around 5.0 and higher. A tsunami warning was in effect but has since been lifted.
