Here is a look at Typhoon Bising (Surigae) at this hour. The typhoon has become a violent typhoon with sustained winds of 215 km/h or 134 mph. Wind gusts are up to 165 mph or 265 km/h. The storm is moving northwest at 15 km/h or about 9 mph.
Here is a look at Doppler radar out of the Philippines at 4:15 AM in Philippines time, heavy bands of rain are moving onshore. This is also likely bringing gusty to strong winds and high seas to the area.
Again, no direct hit from the storm is expected in the Philippines and the storm is forecast to continue to move towards the southern islands of Japan. However, before it makes it to the southern islands of Japan it is expected to move into the Pacific Ocean.
