Here is a look at Surigae this evening or morning over the Philippine Sea. The storm is still a very strong typhoon according to the JMA. The storm has sustained winds of 104 mph with wind gusts up to 150 mph. The storm is moving NNW around 7 mph.
The storm is expected to continue in a general north movement before taking a right turn into the Northern Pacific Ocean. This could bring some rain to the southern islands of Japan, but no direct to from this storm is expected. Also, the storm is expected to weaken over time.
