After this cold air, we will have to deal with some snow. It could start as rain Thursday evening. Then snow will follow the rain into the overnight hours.
As stated earlier, some rain is possible before snow moves into the area. Then, snow will move into the area overnight Thursday into Friday morning. The model you see above is the NAM model at 4 AM Friday.
Snow will continue into the morning rush hour. Snow will begin to taper off around 8 AM Friday though.
As we head towards the noon hour on Friday. Snow will move off to our east. A few lingering flurries can be ruled out east of I-75 though.
So let’s talk snow accumulations. We will see at least 1 inch of snow, we will mostly likely see 3 to 4 inches of snow, and we will see at most 5 inches of snow.
The heaviest of snow looks to fall north of I-70. Snow accumulations slowly begin to drop off the more south of I-70 you go.
