Rain and snow will return Sunday morning. Some rain could be in the form of freezing rain. A few sleet pellets cannot be ruled out as well. The wintry mix will move into the area around 4 AM Sunday. Areas west of I-75 and south of I-70 will see the precipitation first. Throughout the morning the wintry mix will spread across the area. Rain and snow will continue through the afternoon. Precipitation will become mainly snow by Sunday night. Snow should finally taper off Monday morning into the afternoon.
So let’s talk snow accumulations first. We could see at least a trace of snow, most likely a half of an inch of snow, and at most an inch snow. A few areas may see snow accumulations a little higher than an inch. There could be some that will not see snow accumulation at all.
As stated earlier, freezing rain is possible. If we do see freezing rain, we could see at least a trace of freezing to about a tenth of an inch of freezing rain.
