Rain and snow will move into the area starting around 4 PM Thursday. We won’t see a lot of rain and it looks like we will have more snow than rain. Temperatures will also be in the 20s for just about the entire day. Snow will overspread the area by midnight. The bulk of the snow will taper off overnight Thursday into Friday morning. Some lingering snow will still be possible into the early afternoon on Friday. Then we should be done with the snow associated with this system.
Right now, the area looks to get at least a trace of snow with this system. We could most likely see 1 inch of snow with this system. It does look like the highest snow accumulations will be south of I-70 with this system. At most, we could see 2 inches of snow. Snow could cover grassy surfaces more than roads and sidewalks. This forecast could change.
