Winter Weather Coverage

Here is a winter weather update

Last Updated 2 months ago by Devontae Jackson.

Rain and snow are moving through the area this morning as predicted. Some rain has also been steady to heavy at times. Looking at the latest weather station observations from around the area, some of us are already at 32 degrees this morning. That is allowing some of this rain to change over to snow for some of us even faster.

The NAM 3K model has rain changing over completely to snow by this evening as well. The steadiest of the snow should occur this afternoon/evening. Snow will continue into Tuesday but snow should be out of the area by Tuesday afternoon/evening. Gusty winds are possible today into Tuesday. Some slick and icy roads are also possible Tuesday morning.

I’m still thinking we will get at least 1 inch of snow. Most likely 2 to 5 inches of snow and at most 6 inches of snow. The higher snow accumulations will be north of I-70. With the lower amounts in the southern Miami Valley. Also, some lake effect snow bands from Lake Michigan could move into the area Tuesday. Which will also change snow accumulations for some of us.
