A low pressure system in will develop in the Plains and that low-pressure system will bring rain and snow to parts of the Plains and parts of the Midwest.
The low will take some time to get here but when it does, cooler air will also be moving into the area from our north. That combined with precipitation, well, you could get snow or a wintry mix. Now for our area right now, models are pointing at more rain than snow but some snow is possible.
Here is our snow chance map. I’m thinking based on what the models are showing right now. The best chance of snow will be areas mostly I-70 and north here in our area. Of course, it’s still early and the forecast could change so check back later for updates.
