A mix of rain, snow, and ice is moving into the area. Numerous winter weather advisories are in effect. Read more about them here. You will want to watch for slick roads as we head into the afternoon and evening. This wintry precip will last through the afternoon into the early evening. We will get a small break and then more wintry precip is possible late tonight into Tuesday. Some rain, snow, and ice may be steady at times.
Around a tenth of an inch of ice is expected and at most 2 tenths of an inch of ice is expected. It is important to note that the ground is cold so any regular rain that falls may also have a chance to freeze on roads and sidewalks. We will be hovering around 32 degrees pretty much all day today and that will factor into any ice we see. Also, don’t be surprised if you see a light dusting of snow.
