Alright, as we head into late Tuesday and Wednesday morning. A low pressure will move through the area, along with a cold front. Warm temperatures will help us start off as rain but then once the cold front moves through the area. Snow will begin to fall across the area.
Some snow could be a little steady at times. Also, as we transition from rain to snow. Don’t be surprised if a little sleet mixes in at times as well.
Alright, so timing is looking like this. Rain will move through the area during the evening hours of Tuesday and then that rain will transition to snow as we head into Wednesday morning. Snow should be out of the area by late Wednesday morning/afternoon.
Looking at snow accumulations, a dusting of snow is possible, getting the right snow accumulation forecast is a little iffy at the moment. I do think the ground temperatures are a little too warm to allow the snow to really stick. Although, snow could come down in some areas a little steady at times to allow a little more than a dusting. I think the best chance to see snow accumulations will be along and north of I-70 and especially in grassy areas. However, as temps warm up Wednesday afternoon, any snow that sticks will likely melt. This forecast could and probably will likely change.
